EELA Side Event at the 2026 SADC Sustainable Energy Week
The EELA Program will host the session “EELA Program Activities Highlighting Regional and Country Window Perspectives” as part of the 2026 SADC Sustainable Energy Week (SEW), taking place from 24–27 February 2026 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Organized by the SADC Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SACREEE) in partnership with the SADC Secretariat, SEW brings together regional bodies, national focal institutions, industry representatives, and development partners to explore the role of sustainable energy solutions in driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth across Africa.
Held under the SEW theme “Driving Regional Economic Growth through Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency,” the EELA side event will focus on regional coordination, lessons learned, and country‑specific insights emerging from the EAC, ECOWAS and SADC regions. The session will also highlight how energy efficiency contributes to industrialization, energy security, and climate resilience in the region.
