Webinar Series: Energy Efficiency Investment Opportunities in EAC, ECOWAS, and SADC

text
The EELA webinar will showcase successful ESCO models and highlight key opportunities for scaling energy efficiency investments in Africa.
11 September 2025

Energy efficiency in Sub-Saharan Africa remains low, constrained by limited technical capacity and investment. Raising awareness among governments, development partners, and the private sector, and promoting investment opportunities to finance energy efficiency interventions, is essential to meet growing energy demand, optimize costs and emissions, and drive socio-economic transformation.

The EELA Program puts knowledge and awareness of energy efficiency and financing tools at the core of its mission. This webinar, moderated by EACREEE's Lead Technical Expert Denis Ariho, will highlight investment opportunities and engage key stakeholders to drive greater adoption of energy efficiency initiatives.

The webinar targets key stakeholders from government, development partners, the private sector, regulatory and standards bodies, and civil society organizations. Specific objectives include:

a) Raise awareness of energy efficiency opportunities and investment potential in key sectors across EAC, ECOWAS, and SADC.

b) Mobilize technical and financial stakeholders towards joint implementation of energy efficiency initiatives.

c) Showcase successful energy efficiency projects deploying ESCO business models.

The webinar will take place on Zoom with simultaneous interpretation in French and Portuguese. Please find the registration link below: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_za8EEbOpR2Wy_f89EAz1uA#/registration
