Webinar: Virtual launch and overview of the EELA E-Learning platform

text
The webinar launches the EELA E-learning platform, supporting stakeholders in adopting efficient lighting and appliances through capacity building and training.
20 October 2021

One of the key outcomes of the Energy Efficient Lighting and Appliances in East and Southern Africa (EELA) project is to strengthen the capacities of key institutions, testing centers and stakeholder groups to transition to a market of efficient and high-quality lighting and appliances in the EAC and SADC regions.

In this light, the E-Learning Platform is developed with the aim to support capacity development, by strengthening the competence of various stakeholders from the energy sector. Currently, two modules are available, Module 1 Introduction to markets for energy efficient lighting and appliances and Module 2 Lighting.  As the project develops, the E-learning Platform will be expanded to cover clean cooling, productive use of energy and market development.

Modules are divided into several blocks, each including a few pre-recorded presentations to enable you to carry out the training at your convenience.

The objectives of the webinar are to launch the EELA E-learning platform and to present it to key stakeholders. Further on the EELA team will present the important role of change agents in the market transformation and how the project will work with them in a training cycle through the E-Learning platform.
