EELA Zambia Steering Committee Endorses 2026 Work Plan and Budget
The second Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting for EELA Zambia Country Window Project was held virtually on 2 December 2025, bringing together key stakeholders to review progress and set priorities for the coming year. During the meeting, members formally endorsed the 2026 work plan and budget, reaffirming their commitment to timely implementation and clear targets. The committee stressed the importance of adhering to agreed timelines and addressing any potential delays promptly to ensure successful delivery of project objectives.
A major point of discussion was the introduction of catalytic grants designed to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient appliances in Zambia. These grants are expected to play a pivotal role in promoting sustainable energy practices and reducing energy consumption across the country. “We are particularly excited about the catalytic grants that will incentivize the adoption of energy-efficient appliances,” said Mr. Sichizuwe Musokotwane, Co-Chair of the PSC and Director at the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry. “This is particularly important, and we hope for effective implementation of this and this project.”
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to maintain momentum and deliver on the project’s objectives, setting a strong foundation for impactful activities in 2026.
