<p class="rtejustify">Charles Miller is an off-grid solar policy specialist, with deep experience of supporting government, private sector, civil society, and finance stakeholders in Africa to work together more effectively. Since 2017 he has worked with the World Bank, Practical Action, Energy Saving Trust, and others on a range of market development and policy reform initiatives. As Senior Policy Adviser at the Global Off-Grid Lighting Association (GOGLA) he was lead author of ‘Providing Energy Access through Off-Grid Solar: Guidance for Governments’, and as Director of National Programmes at Power for All, he managed campaigns to promote distributed renewable energy in Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe. As Head of Policy at Solar Aid he helped to build Sunny Money, Africa’s largest distributor of solar lights at the time. Prior to that he held a range of business development and programme management positions in the international development sector.</p>
