EELA will participate in ESEF 2025, taking place in Banjul on September 18–19, with a high-level session dedicated to showcasing its approach and key achievements in accelerating sustainable energy in the region. The session will highlight successful initiatives, lessons learned, and practical strategies for scaling up renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions. Following the presentation, a panel discussion will bring together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to exchange insights, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for further collaboration in advancing sustainable energy across West Africa.  

The ECOWAS Sustainable Energy Forum 2025 (ESEF) is a strategic platform driving investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency across West Africa. Established in 2016 by ECREEE, it fosters regional cooperation and partnerships to build viable markets for sustainable energy solutions. The 2025 edition, taking place on September 18–19 in Banjul, will bring together governments, private sector leaders, development partners, and civil society to explore innovative technologies, financing opportunities, and policies aimed at expanding energy access, supporting climate resilience, and promoting sustainable growth throughout the region.
