Christofer Silfvenius

Christofer Silfvenius holds a M.Sc. from Linköping University in applied physics (1994) and a Ph.D. in optoelectronic design and fabrication of efficient semiconductor lasers from the Royal Institute of Technology (1999).

1999-2001 Dr Silfvenius worked in NJ, USA at a spin-off from Bell Labs, managing a group producing high power lasers. 2002-2009 Dr Silfvenius cofounded two companies, one for surface protection of lasers facets, and one for integration of photonic devices.

2009-2011 Dr Silfvenius worked for the British Department of Business Innovation and Skills, coordinating collaboration in research, business and policy between United Kingdom and the Nordics.

From 2012 Dr Silfvenius develops the Swedish Energy Agency testing facilities for energy efficient LED lighting. He also works with research financing, procurement support, market surveillance and policy development. He also a technical expert in the IEA 4E SSL Annex.
